Queen with Words to Wisdom

Queen with Words to Wisdom

Do you want to go on a journey where you discover yourself, put wings on your shoulder and fly high that everyone wants to chase you? This is no magic to be honest, it is something very real that the Words to Wisdom session has made us realise while watching the movie Queen starring Kangana Ranaut.

Kangana as Rani, a goofy, typical Punjabi girl helped me in placing myself into every emotion and thoughts that she was dealing with. As Rani was getting married, she believed that she would make a good wife and would respect every step of his husband. This broke out when her fiance pulled out of the marriage 2 days before, and then her thoughts of insecurity, and vulnerability ended up on a whirlwind journey of self-discovery and growth.

And this is just so beautiful that Instead of moaning and self-pitying she came out of the cramped environment which everyone provided her and went to Paris, on her honeymoon all alone. She took the matter in her hand and went to a different place to breathe in and check herself out. I vividly remember sitting on the couch consoling myself after my break up and then going all alone to Rishikesh for a month, to explore this new place, new people and new service that the place provides.

To be honest, this idea of watching a movie in a book club was super cool and is really appreciated as it thrills every nerve of the body, delivers a message of self discovery.

Ritesh, a representative of the book club, filmed the whole movie like Rani is a free bird. She went to Paris and Amsterdam all alone, she unlocked herself for new things, she broke the gloom and got out of that comfort zone to explore new places and meet new people. She made new friends, and did the things that she has never done before.

Everyone in the group liked the transformation of Rani being a typical conservative Punjabi girl to a bold, stunning girl maintaining the down to earth personality throughout the movie.

And we called ourselves Rani after watching this movie. We personally believe doing the favourite thing daily keeps us alive and passionate towards life. We all made a list of things that we have not done before and kept trying out those things for happiness and overcoming fear.

In person, it helped me a lot in rekindling my joyful days and I hope it will help you too. Enjoy reading
