Eat, Pray, Love.

Eat, Pray, Love with Words to Wisdom

What if you open your eyes in a very peaceful, serene place after realizing God dwells in all of us? It sounds so soft and silky as if a wind is blowing, taking you in its direction and you are flowing.

So, fulfilling? Indeed!

Words to Wisdom Book Club has again raised my eyes when I watched Eat Pray Love, a true story of Elizabeth Gilbert on 17th September in the book club session itself. Julia Robert aka Liz was so soft and elegant in the movie Eat Pray Love, playing the role of Liz i.e. Elizabeth Gilbert.

After a bitter divorce, Liz decided to give herself time to know and understand better. She maintained a box full of travel diaries to explore which she really did after realising that she got stuck in her life.

She went to Italy, which was so amusing but the best part was the food, the way it is captured and she eats, mouth-watering. It seems as if Italians live for pleasure and I liked this very thing of living so free, full of life and Italian food I just learnt to cook.

I tend to see everything that happens in my life through this role of Liz. She visited an ashram in India, where she found difficulty in finding balance in her mind, thoughts, emotions and life. She was fighting with her inner self where she met Richard Jenkins, the star of India travelogue of Liz. Everything, good or bad moments comes at the surface level and you have to prioritize them in your way. This talk of the movie was the same as what I felt in my Vipassana Technique. I recollect the memory of going to a Jaipur Dhamma Thali Ashram and doing my Vipassana, a silent program for 10 days.

Deepshikha, the fellow member, said that she found the movie very inspiring and she can relate each part of it with her life. She said we get comfortable in our things and when we find this is something we are into which has become a habit, we get stuck and then we want to get out of that trap. This movie has helped her in finding out how Liz gets out of that stuck life.

Everyone in the group enjoyed the movie as a whole and they thought of even really going to some exotic destinations and exploring them. Going to an ashram in India was the best thing that everyone related to. We even gave a thought on what we did this year that is these 8-9 months and everyone enjoyed answering it. Some answers were really jaw-dropping.

Like Somya, said she worked on herself these months, as she used to be a bit of a negative person, she started reading good books, she joined Words to Wisdom Book Club, attended some good seminars to make herself cheerful and a happy person.

Being the host of the group, I feel I learn so many good things from the book club members and I really hope you will also feel the same when you attend the sessions. Enjoy reading. 🙂

While going through this blog and also after watching the movie I found that Eat Pray Love is just not only a movie it's a lesson to be learnt how to respect and undertake the journey of life. The message is very clear that let's not fight or squabble over odd situations instead let's deal with them reverently and as mentioned in the blog, Words to Wisdom group members have excelled over handling such situations. Beautifully summarised blog.
